Yauco

The first responder station in Yauco, Puerto Rico houses the fire department as well as a paramedic unit. It is located close to the epicenter of the earthquakes that struck the island in January 2020 and is a critical hub for the surrounding community. During the most recent earthquake in April, the station was left without power for xx months and struggled to keep their diesel generator on-line.

As earthquakes have increased in frequency on the island, Yauco is at especially high risk begin near a fault-line. The completion of our 30 panel solar system with Tesla Powerwall batteries will now guarantee that the station can stay charged, and serve the community during the next emergency.
